According to the California Cycling Association, the government will provide $750 vouchers for people purchasing electric bicycles and $1500 vouchers for people purchasing freight electric bicycles. Moreover, single individuals with an annual income of less than $51000 and families with a family income of less than $106000 will receive additional subsidies.
The subsidy plan includes Class 1 electric bicycles and Class 2 electric bicycles, which are vehicles with speeds below 32 kilometers per hour, but does not include Class 3 electric bicycles.
Moreover, the government requires that vehicles must be purchased at a local bicycle store in California or online by a company with a business location in California, otherwise they will not be eligible for this discount.
